Final post of 2006

December 29th, 2006 | Rss Feed

We are at the end of the year and it’s time to be thankful for what we have in life.  I noticed another site that was recommending to donate to a charity before December 31 so you can add it to your 2006 taxes.  What a great idea!

However, we at WeddingMuseum.com would like to recommend a specific charity.  www.komen.org Susan G Komen Breat Cancer Foundation.  This is a non-profit organization towards breast cancer.  We happen to know someone dealing with breast cancer and would like to help cure this disease.

Blogger to wordpress complete

December 28th, 2006 | Rss Feed

Thanks for your patience.  Blogger was not the right provider for us and our blog.  We have now changed over to WordPress.  Sorry for the mass number of posts but we needed to transfer over some pertinent info to the new server.

We will be on vacation until the new year so be safe and HAPPY NEW YEAR!

The wedding museum updated

December 28th, 2006 | Rss Feed

Yes, it’s true. We’ve updated the newest feature of WeddingMuseum.com. There is now what is called “The Wedding Museum“. The Wedding Museum lists all the wedding web pages created on WeddingMuseum.com. There is a featured wedding web page section for people who took the time to create a cool looking wedding web page. Visitors can also find wedding web pages by category: year of the wedding, last name and by U.S. state.

Every January we do sift through the wedding web pages that have passed by and delete the one’s in which no effort was put into it’s creation. However, wedding web pages created with effort will be on the site for many years to come (unless deleted by the bride/groom).

Cross compatibility is complete

December 28th, 2006 | Rss Feed

Hello. I just wanted to let you know the latest project is complete. The site is now all cross browser compatible between Internet Explorer, Netscape, Safari, Firefox, etc.

That project is done. Now on to bigger and better. Let me know if you have any ideas that would make a wedding planning website great in the years to come.

Membership update

December 28th, 2006 | Rss Feed

For those of you who are already a member of the WeddingMuseum.com community, thank you. However, we made an update for future members.

Once new members register, they now receive a confirmation email of their registration! Wow, what a concept. Members can now refer back to the email for their username and password in case they forget.

In addition, the email is a quick reference in case anyone has any comments or suggestion they would recommend for the site.

What are we doing next? Well, we’re still working on seo tactics to make our site more stable across all platforms and rank better in the search engines. We are validating web pages according to w3c standards. We are also working on a marketing plan for the local Las Vegas market. More information to come about that!
