The best of WEDDING MUSIC lists

March 31st, 2007 | Rss Feed

The home page is finally done to my satisfaction.  I will be changing the featured wedding website as there’s some really cool new websites created.  If you haven’t already, be sure to be one of the first 1000 to get your free wedding website!

It’s final four weekend and I predict UCLA vs. Georgetown.

Now, about what the title is.  I am in the process of creating best of music lists.  The web pages are created and there are many songs there already.  Our database is just over 300 songs.  I know one of our “competitors” brags about 1400+ songs in their directory.  However, we offer lyrics, itunes links and listen to links.  This takes many more time to create.

Our goal is to surpass our competition at 1400 songs.  Then, we will offer such cool features as table sorts by song, artist, etc.  In addition, we will have song lyrics and artist searches available for those of us who cannot always remember the exact name of the song or artist.

The best of music lists for weddings include: rock, country, dance, r&b, rap. jazz, reggae, disco, oldies, ect.  If you want to view them directly from here go to: Best of Music For Weddings.

Revamping home page

March 23rd, 2007 | Rss Feed

For those who are webmasters, it may be interesting to see a work in progress.  I already changed it a bit but have more ideas in place for more changes.

I hope to have it done this weekend to my satisfaction.

If you have any input of your own, just add a comment.

Oh yeah…..GO REBELS!

View and rate wedding vendors

March 21st, 2007 | Rss Feed

We have officially added a new feature to WeddingMuseum.com.  Wedding planners can now rate their wedding vendors.  The rating is on a scale from 1-5 (5 stars being best).  Wedding planners can also view what other wedding planners rated their vendors.

In order to view and rate wedding vendors, you must first become a member.  If you are already a member, you can simply login.  We made it so that we can track who is giving what rating as everyone is responsible for their own rating.  Each wedding planner is allowed to only vote once per wedding vendor.  This way, you can rate your DJ and videographer, etc.

You can only rate vendors listed on the site.  If you would like to rate a vendor not on the site, ask them to create their free listing!

This is what webmasters call a Web 2.0 feature.  When rating a vendor, the page does not need to refresh in order to calculate your rating.  If you were recently married, I would encourage you to use this really cool feature.

Huge update to come

March 15th, 2007 | Rss Feed

Within the next 2 weeks, there will be a huge upgrade to WeddingMuseum.com.  It will be a new feature that brings Web 2.0 to the forefront.  I don’t want to give away any secrets to my competition but I will tell you it’s related to vendor listings.

Enjoy the NCAA Tourney.  I am picking a big underdog to win it all…..UCLA  (sorry UNLV, since I live in Vegas).
